Clayton Huey Elementary School students created a public display of peace with a pinwheel project on Sept. 20. Pinwheels for Peace is an art installation that takes place around the International Day of Peace on Sept. 21. The spinning of the pinwheels in the wind symbolizes spreading thoughts of peace and harmony throughout communities, the country and around the globe. Fifth graders at Clayton Huey planted pinwheels to create a culture of peace in their own school community.
