Dear Center Moriches Families,

Please join us on Tuesday, March 31st at 7:00 PM in the High School LGI for a comprehensive guide to navigating the journey to college athletics. This event is open to all Center Moriches students and their familiesWe are honored to host two experts in the field, who will provide both the "playbook" and the "rulebook" for athletic recruiting.


Discussion Topics Include:
  • Understanding the differences between NCAA Division I, II, & III

  • Starting early with Academic Certification and NCAA Eligibility Center requirements

  • The College Admissions process and navigating Scholarships/Financial Aid

  • College Recruitment strategies, including important dates and the difference between unofficial vs. official visits.

Guest Speaker:  Andrew Cohen

A seasoned College Coach and Recruiting Expert, Andrew is the Founder of Get Recruited Consulting. He provides specialized strategies for athletes looking to get noticed by college coaches in today’s competitive landscape.


Feature Presentation:  Monica Schacker 

As the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at Stony Brook University, Monica leads a program supporting over 450 student-athletes across 18 varsity sports. A former 1,000-point scorer and team captain in Women’s Basketball, she brings firsthand experience as a student-athlete combined with professional expertise in academic eligibility, Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) initiatives, and NCAA legislation.
