Kayla Kelly, a Center Moriches High School student, was recently awarded with the Suffolk County Sheriff's "Sheriff Toulon Community Leadership Award". 

Sheriff Toulon presented Kayla with the award due to her dedication to helping others. Over the past seven years she has collected and donated toys to children in need in partnership with Helping Makes You Happy, including contributing over 150 toys to the Sheriff's recent Pajama and Toy Giveaway.

The Sheriff commended Kayla, saying "Kayla's generosity, compassion, and commitment to service make a lasting impact on her community" on his Instagram, @SuffolkSheriff .
