Good evening,

I am pleased to share an update from this evening’s Board of Education Reorganization Meeting, held on July 2, 2025.

We are proud to welcome Mr. John Thoms and Ms. Shawna Walsh as the newest Trustees on the Center Moriches Board of Education. Both were officially sworn in and begin their terms with a strong commitment to serving our students, staff, and families.

In addition, we congratulate Mr. Brian Tenety on his election as Board President and Ms. Thomasina Harrell on her election as Vice President for the 2025–2026 school year. Their leadership and vision will help guide our district in the months ahead.

We are also pleased to confirm that Dr. Dawn DiPeri will continue in her role as Trustee. Her ongoing dedication and valuable perspective contribute meaningfully to the Board’s mission and efforts.

We were also proud to swear in Student Ex-Officio Board Member Clara Tebbens. Clara’s voice and perspective will be an important addition to the Board as we continue working to serve the students of Center Moriches.
