Center Moriches School District is proud to announce that three outstanding staff members have been nominated for SCOPE Awards. The annual SCOPE Awards honor school district employees from across Long Island who demonstrate exceptional dedication, leadership, and commitment to their school communities, and this year’s Center Moriches honorees represent the best of the District across instruction, operations, and administration.

“Our honorees truly embody the spirit of Center Moriches,” said Dr. Ricardo Soto, Superintendent of Schools. “Each of them, in their own role, goes above and beyond to support our students, staff, and school community. We are incredibly proud to recognize their dedication, professionalism, and positive impact through this well-deserved honor.”

LisaAnn Zlatniski, a physical education teacher at Center Moriches High School, has served the District with passion and dedication since 1997. Known for her energy, leadership, and unwavering commitment to students, Ms. Zlatniski consistently goes above and beyond to ensure all learners feel included and supported. Most recently, she brought renewed excitement to the District by coaching and curating the Unified Athletics program, expanding opportunities for students of all abilities. Her enthusiasm and positive influence make her an inspiring educator and valued colleague.

Christopher Harrell, school maintenance crew leader, has made an immediate and meaningful impact since joining the District. In a short time, Mr. Harrell has demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and a deep understanding of building operations. His proactive approach to problem-solving, reliability, and positive attitude help ensure that District facilities remain safe, efficient, and well maintained. He is a motivating presence for his team and an asset to the entire school community.

Judith Martins, Senior Account Clerk, has been a dedicated member of the District since 2007. Ms. Martins is widely respected for her accuracy, efficiency, and strong knowledge of District procedures. Working quietly behind the scenes, she ensures that her responsibilities are completed thoroughly and on time. Her kind, professional demeanor and willingness to assist others contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, making her a trusted and valued member of the Business Office team.

The three staff members will be honored at SCOPE’s 25th Annual School District Awards Dinner, to be held on Monday, March 23 at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook. Members of the Center Moriches Board of Education, along with District administrators, will join the celebration recognizing excellence in education and service.
